PCBs for Aerospace and Defence Applications

Aerospace and defence boards prioritize traceability, material control and workmanship clarity. XFPCB, a China-based manufacturer, supports commercial and industrial-grade aerospace PCB/PCBA programs for non-controlled designs that need careful DFM, documented revisions and inspection records aligned to your contract requirements.

Reliability Conversations Beat Superlatives

These programs often specify laminate brands, copper foil types, workmanship class and special test notes. XFPCB works from your written requirements and ISO 9001:2015 quality system - we do not invent military certifications on this page.

Early DFM on via reliability, surface finish and cleaning is more valuable than generic “mission-critical” copy.

Environment & Program Constraints

  • Wide temperature, shock/vibration and long storage life are common.
  • XFPCB does not accept ITAR-controlled (USML) or other export-controlled defence work - confirm your design's export classification before file exchange.
  • Acceptance may reference IPC classes and customer specs - attach them to the RFQ.

Material & Stackup Considerations

  • Named laminate systems when dielectric stability matters.
  • Controlled impedance stackups with documented dielectric constants.
  • ENIG or other finishes per corrosion and wire-bond/contact needs.
  • Polyimide or specialized materials only when the drawing calls them out.

Example Use Cases

  • Avionics interface and power conditioning boards
  • Ground support and test equipment electronics
  • Rugged communication and navigation modules
  • Sensor acquisition boards for harsh environments

Why XFPCB for These Programs

  • Willingness to follow written material and inspection callouts
  • PCB + assembly coordination for first articles
  • Engineering English communication for overseas OEMs and subcontractors
  • Shenzhen manufacturing scale for prototypes through production lots

PCBs for Aerospace and Defence Applications FAQs

Can XFPCB meet aerospace customer specs?

We manufacture to the drawings and standards you provide, within our process capability. Send the specification pack with the RFQ for a capability confirmation.

Do you handle ITAR projects?

No. XFPCB is a China-based PCB and PCBA manufacturer. We are not registered with the US DDTC under ITAR and do not accept ITAR-controlled (USML) or other export-controlled defence projects. We build commercial and industrial-grade aerospace boards for non-controlled designs, working to IPC Class 3 and AS9100-type customer quality requirements where applicable. Please confirm your design's export classification before sending any data.

What documentation can ship with boards?

Typical packs include COC, inspection summaries and material notes as agreed on the PO - list what your program requires.

Prototype then production?

Yes. Many programs start with engineering builds, then lock materials and processes for production releases.

Request an Aerospace PCB Quote

Include the specification pack with your Gerbers. We quote non-controlled designs only, so confirm export classification before sending data.

  • Attach material and workmanship callouts.
  • State FAI and documentation requirements.
  • Confirm the design is not ITAR-controlled or otherwise export-controlled.
